Plants & Compost
These plants can go into their final growing place without the trouble of sowing seeds. All plants are approved for use in organic systems and grown from organic seed (From the seed co-op and Tamar organics) in organic approved compost. They are the same varieties as we use, so proven to do well in the highlands & customer feedback has been very positive in previous years. Range through the season: most of the cabbage family, cucumbers, tomatoes, chillies, courgettes, salads, leeks, wild flowers, peas, beans, greens, celery, sweet corn. Keep an eye on the listings as not all available at the same time.
Moorland Gold seed and cutting compost (40 litre bag) is suitable for use in seed and cutting propagation. Suitable for use in seed and module trays and as a blocking compost and provides an adequate supply of organic nutrients. Used by us for years & approved for use in organic systems by the Soil Association. Peat washes into dams and reservoirs & is periodically removed & used to make this compost, so no peat bog extraction occurs.
